| Welcome to this learning programme for glass apprentices! | German |
What about a special glass dictionary? This dictionary does not only give you an overview of glass terms. If you click on the English words, you'll also be connected with the Merriam Webster online dictionary, where you get audio files for learning how to pronounce the difficult words. If you are in search for technical vocabulary you can't find in this dictionary, have a look at the professional online dictionary provided by the Technical University of Munich: Leo or Dresden: Beolingus. Here you can find links to several dictionaries.
To learn your vocabulary play memory and hangman. You also get access to the learning games OASES, provided by the University of Cologne. Play against each other and have a bet who will be the quickest to match the correct terms. Give them a try: It's fun! On this website too: A wiki project by learners for learners - on glass history, technology, design, art history of glass. You can parti- cipate and add your texts! If you like to work with mind maps: Build wordfields.
This programme "English for Glass Professionals" offers you a special learning unit with glass related topics such as glass history, technology and design. It is combined with special test modules for self-control. Furthermore, you'll soon be able to work out authentic cooperative tasks, given by short video instruction. We are looking forward to your feedback, ideas, and comments. This Internet course is not primarily concerned with English grammar. Have a look into the link list for exercises.
